CBR Staff Writer Published 09 September 2010

To expand strategy and technology consulting capabilities

Ericsson has acquired certain assets of inCode's Strategy and Technology Group, a provider of strategic business and consulting services to clients in telecommunications. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The company said that the acquisition will add approximately 45 skilled strategy, business, and technical consultants in the United States and Canada in addition to contracts, technology and intellectual property.

Ericsson senior vice president and head of business unit global services Magnus Mandersson said that inCode adds unique expertise in complex, strategic and technical consulting engagements that will enable them to immediately enhance the value that they bring to their customers.

"It is further proof of Ericsson's commitment to act as the partner of choice for the business transformation currently taking place within the telecommunications industry," Mandersson said.

The company said that the acquired organisation will operate as the Strategy Consulting Group of Ericsson North America under the inCode brand.
