Globecomm subsidiary bags IT support services contract from USAID

To provide IT services for website domains plus deployable IT support for Disaster Assistance Response Teams

Globecomm Systems, a provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure offerings and services, said that it's wholly-owned subsidiary, Cachendo has secured a one-year contract to provide information technology (IT) support services to support the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The one year contract worth $9m, including options, has a total value of $44.2m and will spread for five-years.

Under the terms of the contract, Cachendo will provide IT support services relating to website domains plus deployable IT support for Disaster Assistance Response Teams, including program management, operations and maintenance, systems development, communications and field operations support, IT equipment procurement, maintenance, storage, distribution, and network connectivity.

Bob DeLuca, president of Cachendo, said: "We are excited that USAID selected our team. We are looking forward to performing our duties to help execute critical humanitarian missions."
