Mahindra Satyam wins two multimillion dollar contracts in Brazil

Plans to deploy technology in the enterprise business systems space

Mahindra Satyam, the brand identity of Satyam Computer Services, a global consulting and IT services provider, said that it has won 2 multimillion dollar contracts to be executed by it’s subsidiary, Satyam Servicos De Informatica, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The company said that it plans to increase its business footprint in the Latin American market and open opportunities for alliances in the local business arena, through this subsidiary. Satyam Servicos De Informatica has also appointed Alberto Rosati as the country head for the operation.

According to Mahindra Satyam, the two multi- million dollar contracts include, one from a global conglomerate and the other from a major player in the logistics sector for their Latin American operations. It will deploy technology in the enterprise business systems (EBS) space which will power the supply chain operation of these two organisations.

Arvind Malhotra, senior vice president of Mahindra Satyam, said: “Our goal is to be the top player in the Latin American market leveraging Mahindra Satyam’s existing global delivery model. The Latin American market is growing rapidly and we see immense growth opportunity in the region.”
