CBR Staff Writer Published 03 February 2010

To expand end-user benefits of new 2010 Intel Core vPro technology

Unisys said that it will team up with Intel to bring enterprise IT organisations and end users new services-based support offerings that expand the benefits of new 2010 Intel Core vPro Processor Family.

The company claims that the end-user productivity services and converged remote infrastructure management suite service offering will provide expanded capabilities for users to benefit from automated management and other capabilities of the 2010 Intel Core vPro Processor family.

According to Unisys, the end-user productivity services helps end users access productivity software in a virtualised environment. The converged remote infrastructure management suite enables service professionals to benefit from new vPro capabilities such as built-in keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) remote control.

The new 2010 vPro smart security features such as anti-theft technolgy will enable Unisys to provide end users with data protection anywhere they conduct business.

Jeff Marek, director of end user platform engineering for digital office platform division at Intel, said: Unisys is leveraging the capabilities of the all-new Intel Core vPro Processor technology to deliver industry-leading value for enterprise end users and service delivery professionals.

“By capitalising on our technology expertise, Unisys can deliver managed services that enhance end-user productivity and satisfaction for those using new 2010 vPro hardware platforms that provide enhanced performance, security and manageability.
